The Little League World Series is an international baseball tournament held for players between the ages of 11 and 13 and run by Little League Baseball Inc. The tournament is held

annually in August in South Williamsport, Pa., and broadcast nationally on ESPN. The tournament began in 1947, and entering 2010, the United States has won the most titles with 32.

In 2010, Japan’s team beat Hawaii 4-1 in the championship game to win the International bracket’s first title in five years. It was the first win for Japan since 2003. The 2010 squad, from Tokyo, went undefeated throughout its finals campaign.
